A young man is tormented by a phallic creature, sending him off the rails.

HOW IT WAS MADE

Surreal illustration featuring a red handheld gaming console with a digital character on screen, a rooster, and yellow bird-like creatures. The background is a textured, abstract mix of turquoise and black.

NOHOMO transforms the once-innocent handled console into a vessel for filth and unbridled desire. Animated on the Nintendo 3DS and enhanced on After Effects.

Characters and backgrounds were drawn and animated on Flipnote Studio. Some elements were photographed from online sources using the 3DS’ built-in camera and then traced by hand.

Then everything was brought into Adobe After Effects where scenes were constructed.

THE OFFICE

When I first started this project, I never intended to show it to anyone. It was simply a way for me to cope with the stress of my daily life. I found that doodling around provided me with a sense of relaxation, effectively diverting my attention from episodes of anxiety.

With my trusty 3DS, I could tap into my creativity whenever and wherever I felt overwhelmed. Whether I was on a bustling subway, or snuggled up in bed, these locations inevitably began to influence the unfolding story.
